its been a relatively quiet day today, as I’m sure you’ve noticed by the lack of updates. Here’s a quick update:
- Charysse was moved out of ICU and into her own room tonight around 5pm PT.
- She’s reporting that she’s had no visual effects from the surgery. That’s a miracle!
- She’s already asking if she can go home. At this point, she’ll have to wait until Sunday.
- Finally, she’s adamently against pictures being posted of her, so you’ll have to settle for a written description: imagine her with one of those stellar hospital gowns, her head wrapped in gauze, add a dose of wit and some pain from the surgery, and that’s what we see
Tomorrow, I head back to be with my family so I’ll be passing the updates back to Charysse, who will be ready to run a marathon, I’m sure.

Aww Charysse you are a trooper! I am so impressed by your ability to fight this all. I only had one brain surgery and I wanted to jump off a cliff…I can’t even imagine having four! Praise the Lord that it went well! I am so happy your vision isn’t as impaired as they expected! You have been in our hearts and prayers this week. I was with grandpa every day in the hospital and you were one of the frequent topics of conversation; you definitely held a special place in his heart. We all love and miss you, but my prayers are with you through the annoying wait period until you get to leave the hospital:) I hope it all goes extremely well. Good thing we serve a God of miracles!

That you so much Kyle for the udates. It has meant a lot to us to know whats happening and how your Sis is doing. What an amazing woman she is. You must all be so proud of her. We are praying for all of you.
I am very proud of her. She’s a hero to me.
“I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My sheild and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;

I love how David loved, trusted with confidence and praised the Lord.

vv. 7-17 of this Psalm gives a great picture of how God will move heaven and earth to rescue those who delight themselves in Him.
And I really love v 19:
“He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.”
Charysse, you have determined not to let this condition confine you and your witness for Christ is even more powerful. I pray you will find yourself falling more and more in love with Jesus and God’s Word.
I will continue to pray for complete restoration, from the inside out, for He does desire that you prosper and be in health just as your soul prospers.

Charysse, maybe you can whip them into shape down there since you’ve got another day:) Rest easy, save your strength and be joyful. You are always joyful….even in attitude mode:) The Lord will be with you all as you travel back to your babies. God is such a faithful and good God, taking care of ALL His children.
